Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1780 - $1910 Key Job Details – Fort Wayne Nursing Jobs Location : Fort Wayne, IN 46804 Healthcare Setting : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – 22 ICU beds, 20 step-down beds Employment Type : Travel Nurse (Locum Tenens) Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 9 / 15 / 2025 – End : 12 / 15 / 2025) Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (5 : 00 PM – 5 : 00 AM), every other weekend Hours per Week : 36 Patient Ratios : ICU : 1 : 1, 2 : 1, or 3 : 1 (acuity dependent); Step-down : 4–5 : 1 EMR System : Cerner Scrub Color : Navy blue Floating : Required to other ICUs Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (must reside more than 50 miles from facility; local candidates not accepted) BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience caring for critically ill cardiothoracic and vascular patients Proficiency in invasive line monitoring, central lines, ventilators, chest tubes, vasoactive drips, and bedside procedures Ability to float to other ICUs as needed Must attach required nursing license and certifications with submission CVICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill patients in the CVICU and step-down units Rotate between ICU and step-down units as needed Monitor and manage invasive lines, ventilators, chest tubes, and vasoactive drips Assist with bedside procedures and respond to emergencies Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR system Float to other ICUs within the facility as required Take the next step in your travel nursing career with this CVICU Registered Nurse job in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
