Senior Tax Accountant

Austin Associates is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their collaborative, community focused team to provide expert accounting services. Employees can be based in their Auburn, Norway or Skowhegan, Maine offices with flexible work arrangements.

Requirements :

• Bachelors' degree in Accounting, CPA preferred. Candidates actively pursuing CPA certification will be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in tax accounting or related specialty required.
• Prior experience working in a public accounting firm preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, compliance and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax preparation, depreciation, tax research software.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Effective communication skills and ability to explain tax matters clearly.
