Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health\n\n(Also known as : Psychiatric RN, Mental Health RN, Behavioral Health Nurse)\n\nPosition Overview\n\nWe're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health (Nights) for a 13-week contract starting November 10, 2025.\nSchedule : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM | 36–48 hrs / week | Every other weekend | Possible on-call.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n

• Provide compassionate, safe, and effective nursing care in an adolescent inpatient behavioral health unit.\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized care plans.\n
• Supervise Mental Health Workers (MHWs) and ensure a therapeutic environment.\n
• Float to other behavioral health units and take charge shifts as needed.\n\nRequirements\n
• Active RN license (VT or willing to obtain).\n
• 5+ years of RN experience, including recent inpatient psych (within 3 months).\n
• Adolescent behavioral health experience required.\n
• Strong teamwork, communication, and crisis management skills.\n
• Willingness to float and take charge shifts.\n\nEducation\n
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN).\n\nCertifications\n
• BLS (AHA) – Required.\n
• CPI – Preferred (can be completed onsite).\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n
• Experience with co-occurring disorders or substance use treatment.\n
• Familiarity with Avatar / Netsmart EMR systems.\n
