We are looking to identify and higher a Rock Star Associate Attorney for one of Irvine / Newport Beaches most prestigious Family Law firms, known for representing high-net-worth clients with the utmost professionalism and discretion.
In this pivotal role, you’ll take ownership of cases from start to finish—representing clients in all aspects of Family Law with professionalism, precision, and heart. You will collaborate closely with seasoned attorneys, manage your own caseload, and make a direct impact on clients navigating life-changing legal matters.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage a full caseload of Family Law matters from client intake through resolution, including strategy, discovery, negotiation, and court appearances.
- Prepare and present cases for hearings, depositions, and trials, including subpoena preparation and trial binder creation.
- Maintain and manage calendars and dockets, ensuring deadlines, hearings, and appearances are tracked and met.
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, declarations, discovery, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Conduct thorough legal research and apply sound legal analysis to build strong case strategies.
- Communicate proactively and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
- Mentor and provide guidance to paralegals and support staff to ensure smooth workflow and document management.
- Oversee e-filing, document production, and case organization to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Participate in client consultations and assist with onboarding new clients.
- Contribute to enhancing the firm’s document templates, best practices, and knowledge base.
- Engage in firm marketing, networking, and community events to help grow and represent the firm.
- Collaborate in the firm’s weekly team meetings and lunches to share insights and maintain strong culture.
- Exhibit strong time management and billing discipline, maintaining a consistent billable range of 30–35 hours per week.
Qualifications :
Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.Minimum 3-5 years of Family Law experience, including contested hearings and discovery.Strong legal writing, research, and courtroom advocacy skills.Proven ability to work independently on complex custody, support, and property matters.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal research platforms (LexisNexis or Westlaw).Experience with case management software (e.g., Smokeball or similar) preferred.SALARY IS DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE e.g., Jr. Associate Attorney or Sr. Associate Attorney.
