Role Summary :
As a Banquet / Catering Server, you will assist in all aspects of event service — including setting up event spaces, serving food and beverages to guests, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the event, and helping with breakdown and cleanup. This is an on-call weekend position , so flexibility and reliability are essential.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities :
Arrive on time when contacted for weekend event assignments, ready for service.
Assist in setting up banquet or catering event rooms : arranging tables and chairs, linens, flatware, glassware, decor, buffet or station setup as required.
Serve food and beverages (plated, buffet, or stations) to guests in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
Circulate with trays of appetizers or drinks when required.
Maintain awareness of guest needs : refill water, clear plates, address requests, and accommodate special dietary needs.
Collaborate with the kitchen, bar, and service team to ensure smooth event execution.
Assist with breakdown after service : clearing tables, stacking chairs / tables, removing linens, bussing dishes, cleaning service areas, and returning equipment.
Adhere to hygiene and safety guidelines.
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
Wear all black clothing (black shirt, black pants, closed-toe shoes) for every shift.
Communicate availability in advance and be reachable when on call for weekend shifts.
Qualifications & Skills :
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in banquet, catering, restaurant, or event service is a plus.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
Physical stamina to lift / move up to 25-50 lbs and set up / break down event spaces.
Reliable transportation to / from the job site in the Houston area.
Food handler certification preferred but not required.
Professional appearance and ability to follow dress / uniform standards.

Requirements
High school diploma or GED. ServSafe food handling certification is preferred. Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques. Proven experience working as a Cook. The ability to follow recipes.
