Job Summary :
The Maintenance Mechanic Level 3 performs advanced mechanical maintenance tasks, independently troubleshooting complex mechanical systems and effectively repairing or replacing critical components. This role includes performing preventive maintenance, providing guidance to lower-level technicians, and assisting with equipment installation projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- May provide guidance, instruction, or training to Maintenance Mechanics Levels 1 and 2.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Independently diagnose complex mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic methods.Repair, replace, or overhaul critical mechanical systems and equipment.Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance.Lead minor mechanical installation projects, including equipment alignment.Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced mechanics.Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and maintenance protocols.Accurately document maintenance / repairsand keep thorough records.
Required Skills / Abilities :
Advanced mechanical diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.Proficient with specialized tools, precision instruments, and diagnostic equipment.Strong understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulics, pneumatics, and equipment alignment.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.Capable of reading complex schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.Must be able to read and communicate in English to understand technical documents, safety procedures, and instructions relevant to job duties. English proficiency is required due to operational and safety communication needs.Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or vocational training preferred.Minimum of 35 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or related fields.Physical Requirements :
Ability to frequently stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and maneuver in confined spaces.Regularly lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.Must possess manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient for handling small components, precision tools, and complex equipment safely.Capable of working safely at elevated heights and on elevated platforms.Ability to perform duties in varied environmental conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures (hot or cold), humidity, noise, vibrations, dust, fumes, and other industrial hazards.Comfortable using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with safety standards, such as hard hats, safety glasses, respirators, gloves, ear protection, and harnesses for fall protection.CSFCO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
