Job Title : MRI Technologist

Location : San Antonio, TX

Shift : Full-Time Permanent

  • 4x10 Hour Shifts (Day Shift, Rotating Weekends)

Job Summary :

Seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic procedures using MRI and imaging equipment. The role involves conducting all MRI procedures and ensuring quality control within the MRI area. This position is part of a high-volume outpatient imaging facility equipped with new MRI technology .

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform MRI procedures with precision and care, ensuring high-quality imaging results.
  • Demonstrate expertise in MRI positioning, procedure preparation, and technical operation of MRI systems.
  • Operate and maintain Radiology Information System (RIS) for scheduling, patient tracking, and exam completion.
  • Manage and utilize all MRI-related equipment, including monitoring devices and stereotactic biopsy tools (where applicable).
  • Exhibit enthusiasm and professionalism in daily work assignments.
  • Assess situations effectively, consider alternatives, and make informed decisions.
  • Provide appropriate care across all age groups including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

    • Qualifications :

    Education & Experience :

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology School.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting is required.
  • Prior experience in an outpatient MRI setting is preferred.

    • Licenses & Certifications :

  • Must obtain one of the following within 6 months of hire :

    • ARRT (MR) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, OR

  • ARMRIT certification from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists.
  • Current CPR certification (or must be obtained during orientation).

    • Preferred :

  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) Certification from the Texas Department of Health.

    • Compensation & Benefits :

  • Hourly Rate : $31–$45 / hr (based on years of experience)
  • Sign-On Bonus (SOB) : $10,000 (paid out on the 2nd or 3rd paycheck with a 2-year commitment)
  • Relocation Assistance : $5,000
  • On-Call Pay : $5.00 / hour
  • Schedule : Four 10-hour shifts per week with one weekday off
