Qualicare Home Care is seeking Physical Therapists Assistants for PRN (as-needed) roles in North Texas due to high demand for our home health services.

This position requires a valid drivers license, proof of insurance, and a reliable personal automobile for local travel to provide care to clients in the Denton County, Texas area. Mileage is reimbursed for at home visits. We offer pediatric, adult, and geriatric care.

Responsibilities :
Provide direct patient care to a diverse range of patients
Utilize a range of evidence-based techniques, including trigger point therapy, to address patient needs.
Implement and monitor patient treatment plans, adjusting as necessary.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nursing staff, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Stay current with the latest developments in physical therapy, including orthopedics, hospital medicine, and anatomy knowledge.
Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and provide guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
Provide emotional support and educate patients and their families on disease processes and treatment options
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to patient care
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care
Skills :
Proven working experience as physical therapist assistant
Excellent knowledge of physiology best practices and standards
Hands on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training and physical modalities
Ability to communicate and instruct effectively
Health care administration and documentation skills
Qualifications :
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the State of Texas
Minimum one year experience in a home healthcare setting
One-year experience in geriatric or pediatric care preferred
Experience working in a hospital or clinic setting.
Ability to provide patient care in a variety of settings, including home community care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for delivering high-quality patient care and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
