What You Will Do

  • Drive electrical projects from ideation to development and execution to ensure the safe and reliable operation of electric power systems, including electrical power distribution systems, design, optimization, troubleshooting, equipment specification and selection, due diligence studies, safety, risk assessment, maintenance, testing, and utilities.
  • Deliver electrical engineering and project management expertise, ensuring safety, quality, reliability, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to address electrical issues in the plant.
  • Maintain technical documentation for power distribution systems, including design data, process models, and historical performance data.
  • Manage the Arc Flash Safety program and maintain ETAP power system modeling software.
  • Drive continuous improvement in electrical system reliability through the Preventative Maintenance Optimization (PMO) cycle and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Provide electrical design development, evaluation, and implementation support for project engineers and unit maintenance teams.

What You Will Bring

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical system problems involving protective relaying systems and electrical equipment such as circuit breakers, VFDs, and uninterruptible power supplies.
  • Understanding of HV & MV equipment and switchyard facilities.
  • Experience with ETAP power system modeling is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to present designs and study results and to prepare effective written reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including working effectively with people from different cultural backgrounds and with experienced and new engineers.
  • Who You Are

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering with 5-7 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of electric power generation, distribution systems, and electrical reliability strategy.
  • Experience working in manufacturing and / or utilities operating plants.
  • Experience in Electrical Preventive Maintenance and outage work.
  • Experience troubleshooting MV and LV motor starters, soft starters, and VFDs.

    Pay Range

    $98,800.00-$131,733.33 Annual

    This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

    Incentive Compensation

    As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission / bonus.
