General Labor

Wieland is hiring for General Labor. The General Labor will be responsible for performing miscellaneous labor functions throughout the Mill. This role is located in Montpelier, OH and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay : $20.96 plus .25 Shift Differential for 2nd shift & .30 Shift Differential for 3rd shift

Schedule : 2nd Shift 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM & 3rd Shift 11PM - 7PM

Pay Schedule : Weekly

Responsibilities

General Labor Responsibilities :

  • Instructed by supervisor on each task
  • Tasks may include those similar to; General housekeeping, chopping scrap, handling solid scrap
  • Occasionally operates fork lift to transport oil and trash to designated locations
  • Moves scrap to and from various locations
  • Maintains equipment and performs duties in a clean and orderly condition
  • Other duties as assigned

General Labor Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • Minimum one-year manufacturing experience preferred
  • Physical Demands : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee must have the ability to stand up to 100% of the time and is required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects. They must be able to walk ad climb stairs, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist or crawl; push and pull; and talk or hear. Employee must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds repetitively and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme temperatures and certain contaminants and must wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, protected clothing, hard hats and respiratory protection such as respirators. The employee works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud
