The Repository Services Librarian supports the sharing of UW-Madison's scholarly outputs through our institutional repository, MINDS@UW, as the service lead and primary user support contact. This role will work closely with the incoming Repository Specialist, as well as colleagues in IT and Research Data Services, to advance and improve the repository both for current and anticipated future researcher needs. This role will monitor, maintain, and enhance IR services as well as support communication and outreach efforts.
Responsibilities :
Provides a wide variety of the most advanced professional library services which may include metadata creation, acquisitions, licensing, preservation, digital library, and data services. Serves as a resource to others and regularly solves complex problems based on advanced knowledge and expertise. Initiates process improvements, policy changes, and new initiatives to contribute towards continual improvement in services and operations.
