The successful candidate will work in a team atmosphere to provide technical and project support for high voltage transmission line projects, low voltage distribution projects, and other tasks as assigned. The role involves design and planning efforts related to power transmission and distribution physical facilities, including preparation of drawings, specifications and reports to define the scope of work for construction of power transmission and distribution lines. Responsibilities include preparing or reviewing structure loading drawings, environmental permitting drawings, right-of-way support drawings, transmission line hardware and structure assembly drawings, material and equipment specifications, line design parameters, and line routing; preparing project budgets, schedules and estimates; and performing analyses for large-scale T&D projects. The role provides construction monitoring and field technical support, and involves design of transmission line systems, structural design and load tree development, drilled pier and direct embedded foundation design, permitting, detail drawing development, material development, construction package development, etc. The successful candidate will periodically interface with clients and provide assistance to Project Managers.
Work location : Ideally, the candidate resides in Dallas, TX (Hybrid) but all qualified candidates residing in the U.S. will be considered.
