POSITION : Housekeeper
TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR : Maintenance Director

SUMMARY
The Housekeeper is responsible to provide a clean, organized and sanitary environment for the residents. Housekeeping tasks are completed in both the resident's private apartments and in the general common areas of the building.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must successfully clear a background check, TB skin test or x-ray, and health screening
- Current CPR certification
- Current certificate of training for successful completion of the five (5) hour initial fire safety training provided by the Rules and Regulations of the Georgia Safety Fire Commissioner
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and / or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and / or shampooersEmpty wastebaskets, clean, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areasSweep, scrub, wax, and / or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and / or powered scrubbing and waxing machinesDust and polish furniture, fitting and equipmentKeep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidyPolish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittingsWash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as scheduled or necessaryClean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas so that health standards are metClean metal fixtures and fittingsDispose of trash in a sanitary mannerClean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showersWipe down glass surfacesMake up beds and change linens as requiredTidy up roomsOperate mechanized cleaning equipmentMaintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working conditionMonitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacementsCOMPETENCIES
