Scope of Position : Responsible for coordinating and communicating cleaning and service requests for The James by dispatching custodial workers to carry out such requests, which may include, but not limited to : patient discharge room cleaning, spill clean-up, and public area cleaning. The Ohio State Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients, visitors, and staff. This position encompasses communication and coordination.
Position Summary : The Environmental Services Dispatcher is responsible for assessing customer needs, coordinating custodial workers to meet customer requests, and delivering Service Excellence. This position is also responsible for preparing and maintaining periodic reports and records related to patient discharge room cleaning, special cleaning requests, etc. The Environmental Services Dispatcher promotes teamwork through mutual respect for associates, developing positive interpersonal relationships, and lending assistance as needed.
Minimum Education Required : Per CCS Class Specs : may require 1 course in typing (or 1 mo. exp.); 1 course in public relations (or 1 mo. exp.); or equivalent.
