We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery practice located in our brand-new McGrath Outpatient Pavilion, a modern facility shared with multiple medical / surgical specialties to foster a collaborative and patient-centered environment.

As a Plastic Surgery RN, you will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. This is a dynamic, patient-facing role ideal for an RN who thrives in a professional outpatient setting with a mix of clinical, administrative, and procedural responsibilities.

Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. This position is required to float between 3 clinic locations which are located in Hillcrest and La Jolla.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.

BART or BLS / CPR certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

Minimum one year of RN experience in an ambulatory / outpatient care setting.

Experience in plastic surgery, orthopedics, and / or trauma.

Experience or interest in working with diverse populations including LGBTQA+ community.

Ability to perform triage and handle critical and / or urgent situations with accuracy, expediency and speed, accuracy and tact.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

BSN

Proficient in Epic.

Experience working in plastic surgery, a surgical specialty and / or medical-surgical hospital unit.

• Experience working with burn, oncologic, trauma, transgender patients.
• Experience independently managing nurse clinic.
• Wound care
• Experience working with care teams and transitioning between care teams, acting as a resource.
• Patient photography with Mirror / Vectra imaging software.
• Bilingual Spanish.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range : $131,335 - $184,078 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent : $62.90 - $88.16

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
