Primary Certified Nursing Assistant

Schedule : Working 4 days per week, 7a-4p, working every 4th weekend but can vary in frequency - currently every 8th weekend, backup call every 8 weeks with flexibility as this can change, 1-2 holidays per year
Minimum Qualifications & Certification / Licensure :
- Completion of certified nursing assistant program
- Must be listed on the Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Registry and be eligible to work at state and federally certified facilities
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook)Highly motivated and organized with a strong attention to detail and analytical skills to help solve problems.Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.Ability to keep up to date with policies, practices, and regulations.Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and capable of dealing with deadline pressures.Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of Unity.Satisfy mandatory training requirements regarding local, state, and federal regulations and / or Unity's policies and procedures.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Ability to adjust to frequently changing demands.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides services and procedures that are delegated, assigned and supervised by a Unity RN. These services and procedures are based on the RN comprehensive assessment of the patient's personal care needs and documented in the Activities of Daily Living Plan of Care.
Unity CNA staff can perform services / support in the following areas as directed by the RN :Activities of Daily LivingRestorative CareSkin CareMobilityNutritional SupportRespiratoryBowel and BladderReinforce TeachingCompanionship and SupportVital SignsReading of CADD pump settingsReport on pain ratingMaintain required competencies and skillsReport any changes in the patient's condition or family situation immediately to the appropriate member(s) of the interdisciplinary teamPromote and maintain confidentialityShares in providing 24-hour, seven day-a-week coverageRequirements
