About The Position

Wellhart is seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a 36-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in Missouri. The ideal candidate will be available to start on 09 / 01 / 2025, working various shifts including 6am-4pm, 9am-7pm, 12pm-10pm, 3pm-1am, 7pm-5am, and 9pm-7am. This position requires expertise in handling Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) cases. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency medical care, managing a diverse range of acute conditions, and collaborating with the hospital's healthcare team. There is potential for assignment extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties :

Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients

Manage and treat a wide range of acute medical conditions

Perform emergency procedures and interventions as needed

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Maintain accurate and timely medical records

Adhere to hospital policies and procedures

Ensure patient satisfaction through excellent communication and care

Handle FSED emergency medicine cases efficiently

Prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment

Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results

Coordinate patient admissions or transfers when necessary

Provide clear discharge instructions and follow-up recommendations

Additional Information :

Valid Missouri medical license required

Board certification in Emergency Medicine

Experience in FSED settings preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexibility to adapt to varying patient loads and emergency situations

Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
