job_description.job_card.job_descriptionOperate various types of CNC machines to produce parts conforming to print requirements, may include basic program adjustments to meet quality and schedule requirements Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures Demonstrate an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and basic print reading Performs basic daily maintenance or checks for machines Will make more complex program or tooling adjustments to produce conforming parts Operate a 2 axis lathe and hold .0005 tolerances Operate a 4th axis mill Perform First Part Inspections for all lathe and mill operations Mentor and assist colleagues in set ups or program adjustments Will make program or set up datasheet adjustments to master files for future use Other duties as necessary Computer skills (MS Office) and experience in ERP systems preferred Working knowledge of manufacturing principals, basic shop math, and basic blueprint reading Knowledge of hand tools and general inspection tools Ability to read and follow work orders, set up data sheets, and measurement instructions Ability to change some machine set ups (pallets, collets, etc.) Can perform diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshoot basic programming and machine issues Ability to change most machine set ups and update master programming and set up data sheets Willing and able to train colleagues with troubleshooting and adjusting machines and programs Previous experience in production and quality control methods (ISO9001, AS9100 etc.) preferred. Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation and production systems preferred. Previous experience in manual or CNC machining preferred. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Must be able to stand, stoop and lift up to 40 lbs.
