Manufacturing Manager
AKE Safety Equipment is a market-leading fire safety equipment manufacturing and sales company. We are looking for someone who is professional, reliable and detailed oriented to fill a Manufacturing Manager position in Rochester, MN. The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for managing production staff and oversight of all activities involving production, quality control and shipping. This role requires quick adaptation to change and has the ability to keep the success and forward movement of the business as the ultimate top priority.
Specific Responsibilities :
- Supervise, lead and direct the work of manufacturing employees
- Assist in the continued training and development of manufacturing employees
- Manages communication between manufacturing department and other departments within the company
- Perform production tasks according to standard operating procedures and manufacturing guidelines with consistent speed and accuracy
- Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price
- Implement and monitor standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation of product to ensure quality control
- Oversee the shipping and receiving of all products and inventory
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered
- Assures optimal stock levels and submits orders when needed
- Oversee monthly inventory counts
- Complete tasks to meet production demands; assembly, packing and taping
- Maintain documents for production related activities for reference purposes
- Assists in developing the production schedule based in anticipated sales and correlating staffing needs
- Run a weekly team meeting with all manufacturing employees
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized warehouse
- Assist in assembling product as needed
