JOB SUMMARY :
The job of Maintenance Technician is to support the Maintenance Director in maintaining attractive, sanitary and safe grounds for residents, staff and general public; and complying with health and safety requirements and provides quality maintenance functions to facility in accordance with all laws.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience : Good all-around handyman skills required to perform single, hands on tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Must be able to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include; adhering to safety practices, handling hazardous materials, utilize a variety of job-related equipment; ability to work with a wide diversity of individuals.
Personal Qualities : Friendly, courteous, and outgoing at all times. Must be in excellent physical condition, ability to follow written and oral instructions, able to work without direction; maintain a professionally dressed and well-groomed appearance in accordance with facility's Dress Code.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions : Must be in excellent physical condition; ability to perform tasks that require significant lifting, standing, bending, reaching, stooping, pushing and / or pulling, and walking in an outdoor environment under some temperature extremes.
