Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for youth basketball and performance-driven digital marketing? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where you can capture the energy and development of young athletes while driving measurable business results through strategic content creation? If so, we invite you to join our marketing team as our Content Marketing Specialist.

In this role, you'll be the digital voice of Team Esface, working closely with our marketing and sales teams to create compelling content that showcases our 25+ teams, 300+ athletes, and unique academy culture while driving enrollment growth and lead generation. You'll combine your creative skills with data-driven marketing strategies to tell stories that inspire, engage, and convert our target audience into academy families.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performance-Driven Content Creation & Lead Generation
  • Create and publish daily social media content across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube optimized for engagement and lead generation
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop content strategies that support enrollment goals and seasonal campaigns
  • Produce weekly team spotlight videos with rotation coverage ensuring all 24 teams receive equitable exposure while highlighting academy value propositions
  • Capture and edit real-time tournament content during weekend competitions to showcase academy competitiveness and player development
  • Develop conversion-focused content including player development highlight reels, parent testimonials, and academy success stories
  • Analyze content performance metrics across all platforms to identify high-converting content types and optimize future creation

Content Library & Asset Management

  • Organize and maintain extensive content archive including training videos, interviews, guest speaker sessions, and historical footage
  • Develop searchable database system with proper tagging by team, age group, skill focus, and seasonal relevance
  • Create standardized content templates ensuring consistent branding across Black Club and TrueLeague materials
  • Establish efficient video editing workflows capable of handling high-volume tournament weekends
  • Implement robust archive and backup systems to protect valuable content assets

    • Community Engagement & Communication

  • Support pre-tournament parent communications with engaging visual content and team highlights
  • Create educational content for parents explaining coaching philosophies, playing time decisions, and development focus
  • Produce end-of-season recap videos for each team celebrating growth and achievements
  • Develop comprehensive onboarding content packages for new families joining the academy
  • Collaborate with coaching staff on player-specific development content for individual families

    • Strategic Marketing Support & Campaign Development

  • Partner with marketing team to plan and execute seasonal content calendars aligned with enrollment periods, basketball seasons, and promotional campaigns
  • Develop signature content series designed to drive brand awareness and lead generation (e.g., “Coach's Corner,” “Player Spotlight,” “Team Esface Way”)
  • Create recruitment-focused materials showcasing academy results, culture, and success stories with clear calls-to-action
  • Support paid advertising campaigns by creating high-performing creative assets and analyzing which content generates the best ROI
  • Collaborate with sales team to understand prospect concerns and create content that addresses common objections and highlights academy differentiators
  • Research current basketball and youth sports content trends while identifying opportunities to outperform competitors in digital spaces

    • Work Environment & Expectations

  • You will work primarily at our basketball facility with frequent on-court content capture opportunities
  • You should dress professionally while maintaining readiness for active court-side content creation
  • You will work many Saturdays and Sundays during tournament season capturing live content and creating real-time social media posts
  • Evening work will be required 2-3 nights per week during practice seasons for content capture
  • Local travel will be required for tournaments and special events throughout the Bay Area

    • Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Needed

  • Technical Expertise Required
  • Advanced video editing proficiency using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
  • Graphic design capabilities using Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent professional tools
  • Multi-platform social media management with demonstrated track record of audience growth
  • Live streaming experience using platforms such as YouTube Live, Instagram Live, or specialized sports streaming services
  • Mobile content creation skills enabling quick turnaround tournament and event content

    • Professional Experience Required

  • 3+ years of content creation experience with strong portfolio demonstrating video editing, social media growth, and measurable marketing results
  • Digital marketing experience with proven track record of driving leads and conversions through content marketing
  • High-volume content production experience managing multiple teams or projects simultaneously while meeting performance targets
  • Experience working with marketing and sales teams to create content that supports business objectives
  • Analytics and performance tracking experience using social media insights, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, or similar platforms with ability to optimize based on data

    • Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in content creation and digital marketing
  • 2+ years of experience in video editing and post-production with focus on performance-driven content
  • 1+ years of experience working with marketing / sales teams to create content that drives business results
  • 1+ years of experience with paid social media advertising and campaign optimization
  • Experience analyzing content performance data and making data-driven optimization decisions
  • Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals and youth development principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent quality and brand standards
  • Proficiency in content management systems and digital asset organization

    • Salary Range

    $55,000 - $70,000 annually based on experience and portfolio strength
