Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening in Global Supply Chain for a Principal / Senior Principal Project Management to join our team. This position will be located on-site in Redondo Beach, CA OR El Segundo, CA. The selected candidate will help drive GSC integration across multiple tiers of the Research and Advanced Design Supply Chain. They will focus on supply chain execution and drive process improvements to ensure alignment with program priorities. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment and will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. They will be able successfully complete diverse work assignments and effectively collaborate in team settings across all levels. This selected candidate must be able to collaborate closely with executive and program leadership. They will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. This role is responsible for leading all phases of the program life cycle from proposal development through execution and contract closeout. Primary responsibilities require oversight of all functions across the supply chain for a particular work scope, including but not limited to : Requirements and Planning, Supplier Management, Business Management, Supplier Manufacturing Engineering Logistics. Please note : A start date, for candidates selected, will be determined after obtaining both a DOD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access.

Responsibilities include :

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients
• Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered expert in field within the organization. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex tasks. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
• Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
• Most assignments are complex and performed independently without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
• Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources as well as problems with customer satisfaction.
• Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives. Acts as an advisor to senior management and customers.

Primary Level Salary Range : $91,200.00 - $136,800.00 Secondary Level Salary Range : $113,500.00 - $170,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
