Key Functions
Individual Giving
- Personally identify and manage a portfolio of 120-150 primary prospects and donors, raising $1M minimum annually.
- Ensure the effective cultivation, stewardship and solicitation of Major Gifts and consistent movement in pipeline upgrading mid-level donors.
- Support and strategize the build out of special fundraising group initiatives that drive sustainable growth including but not limited to : event attendees, corporate & community partnerships, individual donors and focused philanthropy groups such as alumni, celebrities and vendors, defining and applying targeted strategies.
- Execute excellent, accurate and timely stewardship and recognition practices for personal portfolio utilizing best practice fundraising strategies and methodologies.
- Record and maintain excellent portfolio pipeline movement, opportunities, forecasting and dashboard management / reporting.
Gala & Event Fundraising
Lead strategy, planning and execution of annual gala / luncheon, with a fundraising goal of $500,000+ and 20% growth year-over-year, developing tactics to engage new donors and wider audiences closer to Menninger’s mission.Secure major corporate sponsorships, table sales, and high-level individual gifts to maximize event revenue developing clear, concise and thoughtful action plan pre-post event for donor cultivation and stewardship.Develop and manage host committee of key Board, corporate and community leaders to expand fundraising efforts for referrals including identification strategies, research process and solicitation strategy.Work with internal teams and vendors to create an engaging and impactful event experience that strengthens donor relationships.Oversee donor recognition, post-event follow-up, and long-term engagement strategies.Prospect Development & Donor Stewardship
Develop core acquisition techniques to identify new donors and develop a pipeline of new corporate and event sponsors and individual philanthropists.Create and execute personalized cultivation and stewardship plans to deepen relationships and inspire increased giving.Track donor engagement and fundraising progress using CRM / donor management systems, providing regular reports, updates, KPIs, actuals / goal.Education :
Minimum Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or 7 years related experience and / or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years of direct development experience with a non-profit or corporate giving program and minimum of 3 years of direct fundraising experience soliciting gifts $10K+.
Experience :
Proven track record of securing five / six-figure individual and event gifts, increasing philanthropic revenue.Experience in lead generation, donor research, and strategy to identify new funding sources.Ability to cultivate and manage relationships key stakeholder relationships.Proficiency in CRM / donor databases and fundraising analytics tools.
