Senior Design Strategist - (DC Metro area)
About the Opportunity :
The Hana Group is actively seeking a Senior Design Strategist to join our dynamic team, where we work directly with clients to solution through their biggest challenges. You will be responsible for gathering different types of data and information from a myriad of sources and translating it into clear findings that help create viable, enduring solutions. You will use charts, diagrams, collaboration tools, wireframes and infographics to guide our clients through our process, the Hana Way. It is more than conveying complex information, it is using it to empower better decision making.
We are looking for creative professionals to leverage human centered design principles to work side by side with our clients, developing a curated selection of deliverables to help them achieve their goals. Responsibilities :
- Work across a multidisciplined team to identify client challenges and build appropriate solutions using visual, interactive, and strategy-based products
- Create collaborative drafts and products with the client during meetings and facilitated sessions
- Be comfortable speaking with other creative, strategy, and management team members about desired outcomes and products that drive to client success
- Leverage varied design methodologies to attack problems at their core
- Draft and produce diagrams, charts, infographics, and other products for print, digital, and web
- Build information hierarchies and frameworks that drive understanding and a positive user experience
- Combine quantitative data and qualitative information to develop well rounded solutions that facilitate understanding
- Create and / or leverage branding to ensure consistency
- Be comfortable with asking for and taking different types of feedback from team members and clients to iterate on deliverables
- Lead your team in the creative process and mentor personnel
- Identify education opportunities and proactively request material and training required to grow the team and its offerings
- Be a positive leader both on client site and within our team
Work Schedule :
Full time, 40 hours per weekSome travel required to attend conferences and business eventsRequirements : Qualifications :
Bachelor of Arts in Interactive Design, Graphic Design, UX Design, Interaction Design, Human Factors, Digital Media or a related field10+ years of experience in human centered design or a related roleHigh level of familiarity with Adobe suite, Microsoft products requiredFamiliarity with web development and building information hierarchies from scratch preferredComfortable navigating ambiguity and able to lead clients and teams to clarity around requirementsSecret Clearance Required. Top Secret clearance preferredStrong expertise in data, data management, and turning data into useful information for clientsExperience across multiple design areas (e.g., experience design, brand, information design, graphic design) to propose and build the best solutions for each projectHighly motivated to solve problems, pitch in, and unravel complexityExperience supporting multiple projects simultaneouslyProject management expertise preferredPositive attitude, active teammateHTS offers our employees a comprehensive benefit package.
