Role Purpose
The Project Superintendent is the field leader and schedule driver responsible for the daily execution of construction projects. This role ensures jobsites are safe, efficient, high-quality, and on schedule while building trust with clients, trade partners, and the internal team. The Superintendent sets the tone for professionalism, pace, and craftsmanship on every site.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Scheduling & Site Management
- Own the construction schedule like it’s your playbook.
- Proactively anticipate 2–3 weeks ahead and align subcontractors accordingly.
- Maintain accurate, real-time schedules in Buildertrend.
- Ensure work follows current plans, schedule, and scope.
- Identify risks early and adjust proactively to protect project delivery.
2. Team & Subcontractor Coordination
Lead daily or weekly site huddles with trades as needed.Communicate scope, sequence, and expectations clearly.Hold subcontractors accountable to schedule, quality, and safety standards.Support the Project Manager with real-time updates and field-based decisions.3. Resource & Logistics Management
Plan and coordinate material deliveries, staging, and equipment.Maintain an organized, clean, and safe jobsite at all times.Anticipate site constraints and resolve before they become issues.Ensure efficient use of resources and return of rentals / equipment.4. Quality Control & Inspections
Walk the jobsite daily to identify deficiencies early.Uphold OTDB’s quality standards and hold trades accountable to them.Prepare for and lead city or third-party inspections confidently.Report deviations promptly and support corrective action.5. Task Resolution & Trade Accountability
Ensure minor gaps or tasks are identified and addressed promptly by the appropriate trade.Step in hands-on only in rare situations where it models standards or keeps critical flow on track.Maintain a forward-looking focus on what needs to be done and ensure accountability through delegation.6. Professionalism & Client Presence
Represent OTDB with integrity and professionalism on every site.Foster strong, respectful relationships with clients, neighbors, and trade partners.Communicate proactively with clients when on-site to build trust and confidence.Above-the-Line Commitments

Reports directly to the Owner / CEO .Works in close partnership with Project Managers and the Design / Development team .Collaborates with Finance / Admin on budgets, billing, and reporting.Compensation
