What You’ll Do :
You’ll manage all activities related to the Division’s warehousing operations, ensuring that Division and Company objectives for efficiency, economy, quality and productivity are met or exceeded.
In This Role, You’ll :
- Plan, implement and monitor the day-to-day operations for the Division’s warehousing function, including analyzing operating data and reports, determining manpower needs and monitoring adherence to standards to ensure business plan objectives are met or exceeded. (25%)
- Manage assigned staff, including involvement in the recruitment and selection process of new employees, assigning work, providing training and development, evaluating performance, and building a motivated, effective team to ensure that organizational goals for diversity, career development, productivity, performance management and employee involvement are met. (25%)
- Periodically audit operational procedures and programs related to shipping and receiving and implements necessary improvements to achieve expectations for availability, storage, sanitation and security of inventory. (20%)
- Develop, audit and control department budget and ensures that operational costs are within plan. Manage the purchase and / or leasing and maintenance of all material handling equipment to achieve safety, longevity and efficiency objectives. (10%)
- Ensure compliance with all customer, governmental and Company directives and policies and ensure the preparation and distribution of all relevant reports and quality analyses summaries. (10%)
- Communicate with Division management and employees and provides relevant reports and analyses to ensure appropriate decision-making. Conducts analyses on special project assignments. (10%)
- Perform other related and assigned duties as necessary
LEADERSHIP / MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
Supervise, through subordinate management, approximately 50 to 60 employees, including 4 Warehouse Supervisors and 50 associates. Manages projects with significant financial and strategic impact. May manage various external vendors.
What You’ll Bring :
Education / Certification :
Bachelors’ degree in business administration or related field from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience.Experience :
7 years of progressively responsible experience in warehousing operations involving multi-temperature environment with receiving, inventory control and shipping and 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
