As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in El Dorado, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will play a key role in access control at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible throughout your shift, provide excellent customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities :
Control access to the location by verifying credentials of personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with established procedures.Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity.Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, information, and site-specific protocols.Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, observations, and security-related incidents as required by Allied Universal and site-specific policies.Communicate promptly with site management and Allied Universal regarding security-related concerns and / or emergencies.Follow all site-specific policies and procedures, including those related to chemical and petrochemical environments.What We're Looking For :

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.Customer service experience is preferred.Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us :
