JOB SUMMARY :

CPI Support Specialist is an extension of the CPI team, with a priority on production. The CPI Support Specialist works closely with the Mill & Drill Department to eliminate waste in the manufacturing process and review and improve workflows as applicable. This role is responsible for writing and optimizing programs, validating and observing the proof-of-concept, creating and updating setup documentation, reducing setup, standardizing processes, and managing the tool crib.

Additionally, this role will support CNC operators on the production floor with issues they have regarding programming, tooling, or processes. The purpose of this role is to proactively address any issues while supporting any issues that arise. The CPI Support Specialist role is focused on Mill & Drill, but could go beyond to evaluate and review processes, regardless of department in manufacturing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Evaluating existing machining processes and identifying areas for improvement.
• Determining problem resolutions and implementing improvements.
• Researching and developing new processes, equipment, and products.
• Evaluating, developing, and implementing cost-saving measures.
• Ensuring manufacturing processes and equipment comply with safety standards.
• Maintaining research and activity documentation and preparing reports.
• Ensure processes are followed to allow documentation of changes made and savings follow up.
• Collaborate with employees and supervisors to coordinate priorities across teams.
• Assesses cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Provide assistance to the production floor.
• Process throughput improvement including but not limited to possible setup reduction, tool life improvement, processing routing changes and documentation, and other needs for the floor.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing, quality and assembly issues using experience and feedback from employees.
• Write programs, validate prove-out, and generate applicable documentation to support new processes.
• Update processes to reflect the changes implemented in Epicor
• Performs other duties as assigned.
