Responsibilities

  • The Rotating Equipment Engineer will provide technical support regarding selection, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and long-term reliability of rotating equipment.
  • Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and provide technical support for major capital projects.
  • Conduct performance analysis of rotating equipment to identify performance & operating deviations to provide a resolution on developing deficiencies.
  • Lead continuous improvement of reliability of rotating equipment through the development and application of effective reliability strategies.
  • Develop the rotating equipment engineering repair scope for all outages, as well as major and turnaround maintenance events.
  • Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
  • Relocation provided. $130K-$180K.

Requirements

  • The Rotating Equipment / Machinery Engineer will have a BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8 + years' experience working in the chemical industry required.
  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, in particular heavy duty gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, large pumps, and vibration monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas industry codes and practices
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
