Security Officer
This position will report to our Magnolia Emergency Care Center in Magnolia, Texas at the address below : -18230 FM 1488 # 101, Magnolia, TX 77354. The schedule for this position is below : Saturdays and Sundays, 12 hour shifts, 6pm-6am.
At Houston Methodist, the Security Officer position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors by patrolling and monitoring hospital premises and personnel. This position provides assistance with personal protection, traffic control and emergency response services. The Security Officer position may employ Houston Methodist-approved defensive tactics to ensure patient, staff and visitor safety.

Service Essential Functions
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling facilities; monitoring surveillance cameras; monitoring access points permitting entry as needed, which may include morgue area.Responds to all radio dispatches, answers calls and complaints and accurately assesses, responds timely, provides appropriate assistance and makes recommendations as needed for all emergent situations.Quality / Safety Essential Functions

Qualifications
Education
High School diploma or equivalent education (examples include : GED, verification of homeschool equivalency, partial or full completion of post-secondary education, etc.)Work Experience

Security Officer state license : Security Officer Non-Commissioned, submission of application within 14 days of hire date, and obtained within one year of employment or Security Officer Commissioned Level 3 or Personal Protection Officer Level 4 licensure ANDDL - Driver License - State Licensure Must obtain a Texas DL within 90 days ANDIAHSS - Certified Security Officer-Basic / Advanced / Supervisor (IAHSS) within 90 days ANDNVCRISIS - Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or Instructor (CPI) within 60 daysLicenses and Certifications - Preferred
