Accounting Clerk
The Administration & Information Accounting Department provides fiscal services and guidance to any and all agencies while maintaining superior customer service, both within State Government and to outside vendors. This position applies fiscal guidance, accounting, and customer service for any vendor or employees for the assigned Department of Administration & Information divisions.
Essential functions include reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy, reviewing contracts for compliance, and resolving fiscal problems with vendors. The position also involves monitoring fiscal aspects of maintenance projects and expenses of reimbursable trades projects.
Qualifications
Preference will be given to employees with state experience. Knowledge of budgets, financial statement preparation, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required. Minimum qualifications include an associate's degree in finance and 0-2 years of progressive work experience in finance. Alternatively, 2-4 years of progressive work experience in finance may substitute for the education requirement.
Physical working conditions typically involve a typical office environment with some walking, standing, bending, and carrying light items. This position is a full-time teleworking position, requiring the ability to telework with flexibility to report to the office as necessary.
