Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Education, within the mental health field and / or experience working with children, is desired but not required.
• Strong desire to help an at-risk group of children.
• Requires the ability to stay active, make good decisions within a busy environment and maintain a calm demeanor while working with an emotional child.
• Requires strong ethics and accountability.
• Must be able to complete clear and legible documentation.

The principles of trauma-informed care are applied. Psychiatrists, therapists, and direct-care staff (Mental Health Workers) provide comprehensive psychiatric care and behavioral health treatment to children and their families. Creative therapies (Pet, Equine Assisted Therapy, and Art) are utilized as alternative methods of building healthy emotional connections.
