How You Will Contribute

The Associate, People Business Partner supports a team of People Business Partners who are integral to driving alignment between business unit goals and organizational people practices, fostering growth, and enhancing the employee experience. The Associate, People Business Partner will help implement people strategies that support business objectives, ensuring excellence across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. We are looking for a self-starter who has the capability to hit the ground running with a proactive, solution focused and continuous service improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the unique needs of the assigned People Business Partners to support the business unit / geography and serve as an advisor for :
  • All GPO People Services activities
  • Performance Development
  • Inclusive Diversity
  • Workforce Insights
  • People Experience and Brand
  • Gather and analyze HR data to provide insights and recommendations to the People Partner(s)
  • Collaborate with various HR functions to deliver integrated people solutions
  • Leverage tools to provide metrics and reporting to the practice that will help drive people decisions such as recruiting metrics, engagement metrics, turnover metrics
  • Leverage the A&M global technology platforms and other tools to maintain employee data for both regulatory, proposal, recruitment and reporting purposes.
  • Partner with and provide support to an assigned GPO People Partner
  • Serve as a liaison between the People Partner and People Programs / People Services organizations
  • Ensure effective implementation of A&M people practices and objectives within the assigned business unit
  • Align business unit strategic goals with broader organizational people strategies
  • Assist in developing and executing people-related initiatives tailored to the business unit's needs
  • Support the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1-2 years of HR experience, preferably in a business partnering or advisory role
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, policies, and employment laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in HR information systems and data analysis tools
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related field; HR certification preferred
  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) are highly valued

    Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined periodically as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive an annual discretionary contribution to their 401(k) retirement savings plan from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.     The salary range is $70,000 - $85,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
