Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Position Overview :
The Senior Estimator will play a pivotal role in securing new business by producing accurate, competitive, and timely construction cost estimates. This role requires a deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and market conditions, coupled with strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare detailed, accurate estimates for commercial, residential, and industrial construction projects.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope to determine material, labor, and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure complete understanding of project requirements.
- Source and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive bids.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive cost databases and historical data for future estimating.
- Review and provide input on project budgets, schedules, and potential risks.
- Present estimates and value-engineered solutions to clients in a clear, persuasive manner.
- Mentor and guide junior estimators to enhance team capabilities.
