Shift : 12-hour day shifts (Days)

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1930 - $2070

Float Zone : Assignments may be at any Centura Health location within 60 miles of Colorado Springs city center

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or a participating NLC state (required)

Associate Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required)

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required)

Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience (telemetry or MedSurg preferred)

Ability and willingness to float to multiple hospital units and Centura Health facilities as needed

Travel RN Responsibilities

Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, and review of clinical data

Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection

Advocate for patient health, safety, and rights, providing education to patients and families

Deliver compassionate, relationship-based nursing care that respects each patient’s preferences and values

Delegate tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with Colorado state and hospital policy

Serve as a professional role model, mentor, and preceptor for new staff or nursing students

Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and nursing research activities

Maintain professional records and pursue ongoing education to ensure nursing competency

Effectively manage resources and patient flow, adapting to changing assignments and unit needs
