General Contractor looking for an experienced Superintendent with the experience and skills to manage large scale, tenant-occupied affordable housing projects in Minnesota with potential for other projects in Minneapolis and Duluth.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
- Allocate resources for assigned projects
- Maintain and update daily field reports in field reporting software
- Ensure accuracy of field documents and reports
- Facilitate “Tool Box Talks,” as necessary
- Ensure adherence to site safety standards and document discrepancies, if necessary
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
- Other related projects, as assigned
Skills / Qualifications :
OSHA 30Minimum 4+ years experience as a Construction Superintendent - Multifamily experience preferred.Computer proficiency a MUST experience with Timberline, Raken is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized with strict attention to detailWillingness to travel (daily, and for short / long-term travel assignments)Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisionsAbility to work independently and as a member of various teams and committeesAbility to process requests quickly and efficientlyAbility to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environmentStrong work ethic, self-motivated and self-starterPrevious experience in construction management or other related fieldsFamiliarity with construction management softwareStrong leadership skillsStrong negotiation skillsDeadline drivenAll reasonable accommodations will be considered as it relates to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
