Shop Technician With Weekly Pay!

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Shop Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with previous shop or labor experience, who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a strong willingness to learn construction skills. As a Shop Technician, you will play a crucial role in assembling HVAC systems for new residential construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Building and assembling sheet metal into ductwork.
• Loading and unloading trucks for site deliveries.
• Measuring distances with a tape measure.
• Using hand and power tools.
• Fabricating or altering parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches, or drills.
• Maintaining personal and company tools and equipment.
• Utilizing mastic on ductwork.
• Performing other related tasks as required.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a noisy shop environment, reporting to the shop in Sewickley every day from Monday to Friday, with attendance check at 6 : 15 AM. The work hours are from 6 : 30 AM to 3 : 00 PM, with optional Saturdays. You will work with a crew of 4-6 people. Contractors are required to wear their own work boots and appropriate clothing, although steel toes are not necessary. All other personal protective equipment, such as hard hats, vests, gloves, glasses, and hearing protection, will be provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sewickley, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
