Authorization Specialist

A company is looking for a Spec Authorization Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Verify patient insurance coverage and submit prior authorizations in a timely manner

Follow up on pending authorizations and communicate any denials to the appropriate staff

Participate in educational activities and ensure compliance with applicable regulations

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent required

3-5 years of experience in medical billing, health insurance, or collections preferred

Insurance billing experience is preferred

Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding is preferred

Preferred authorization experience
