Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN to float across multiple critical care units, requiring a MO or compact RN license and strong ICU skills.
Responsibilities
Work in a short-term acute care hospital settingFloat to multiple ICU units including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac / Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVIDMay float to inpatient Med Surg / Medicine floors as neededICU nurse-to-patient ratio is 2 : 1 for all shiftsInpatient floor ratio is no more than 1 : 3Night shift position with 12-hour shifts (18 : 45-07 : 15)Required to work every other weekendFree parking availableNavy blue scrubs requiredUses EPIC for documentation; charting experience with EPIC preferredFloat to various critical care units and inpatient floors based on staffing needsMay be assigned as a patient sitter if neededMaximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract with no time off the first weekAll mandatory modules must be completed prior to start dateFacial hair must allow for proper fit testing, or shaving is requiredHoliday coverage may be expected based on hospital needsReturn staff must allow for required breaks per policy before returningNo medical marijuana cards acceptedRequirements
Active MO or compact RN license required at the time of considerationA minimum of 2 years ICU experience requiredBLS and ACLS certifications requiredStrong ICU skill set including vents, IV starts, telemetry, and conscious sedationExperience with cardiac procedures (Swans / hemodynamic interpretation, IABP, Impella, ECMO, CRRT) preferred but not requiredChemo, CCRN, NIHSS, ONS, TNCC, and CPI certifications preferredEpic EMR experience preferredMust reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility; no local candidates acceptedWill not accept first-time travelersPermanent former employees must wait 1 year before returning as a travelerValid SSN and DOB requiredBenefits
