We are offering an exciting opportunity in Chicago, Illinois, for a Project Accountant to join our team. This role is vital within our organization, focused on maintaining and reconciling accounting records, managing both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), and ensuring the accurate completion of month-end close procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of AP and AR
- Conducting regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
- Ensuring all general ledger entries are accurate and up-to-date
- Completing month-end close procedures in an organized and timely manner
- Leveraging accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline processes
- Regularly reviewing and updating customer credit records
- Addressing and resolving customer inquiries and concerns related to their accounts
- Monitoring customer accounts and initiating appropriate actions when necessary
- Managing and maintaining accurate customer records
- Processing customer credit applications efficiently and accurately.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldProven experience as a Project Accountant or similar roleProficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processesProficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processesDemonstrated experience with Bank ReconciliationsSolid understanding of the General LedgerAbility to prepare and analyze Journal EntriesExperience with Month End Close proceduresProficiency in using NetSuite accounting softwareFamiliarity with Oracle financial softwareExperience with QuickBooks accounting softwareKnowledge of SAP financial softwareStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to manage multiple projects concurrentlyStrong time management and organizational skillsCommitment to ethical behavior and compliance with laws and regulations.
