The Production Associate supports daily manufacturing operations by maintaining clean, safe, and efficient work areas while ensuring product quality and consistency. This role plays a key part in keeping production running smoothly, supporting multiple departments, and upholding MacLean-Fogg’s strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.Job Details
- Position Type : Full-Time, Hourly (Non-Exempt)
- Pay Range : $18.33 / per hour (shift differential)
- Work Location : Onsite - Buffalo, New York 1420Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace following 6S and safety standards.
- Report unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision promptly.
- Complete documentation and communicate effectively across shifts and departments (quality, engineering, maintenance).
- Follow all Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and work instructions.
- Handle chip and swarf management, including exchanging carts and operating chip spinners.
- Collect and segregate scrap, bar ends, filter bags, and oily materials for proper disposal or recycling.
- Drain, clean, and refill machines, washers, and dip tanks as needed.
- Assist with property maintenance, cleanup, and general labor tasks both inside and outside the facility.
- Inspect parts visually and dimensionally using basic gauges and inspection tools.
- Perform 100% inspection of parts for defects and maintain accurate inspection records.
- Hand load, pack, deburr, and assemble parts using basic tools and equipment.Skills / Competencies

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment
- Basic understanding of workplace safety and housekeeping practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to perform a variety of physical and hands-on tasksQualifications (Preferred)
- Prior experience in machining, inspection, or materials handling
- Familiarity with 6S, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices
