About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Russian Linguist to provide linguistic and cultural expertise in support of mission-critical operations in Quantico, VA .

⚠️ This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active TS / SCI clearance . Applicants without the required clearance cannot be considered.

Key Responsibilities :

Leverage knowledge of the language, culture, politics, military, economy, and current events of regions of interest to produce high-quality translations, gists, and sight translations of collected material.

Perform full translations and interpretation of spoken language and provide written gists of collected material from foreign language to English and vice versa.

Conduct sight translations and verbal gists of foreign language materials into English.

Use a variety of Microsoft (MS) Office software programs as well as Adobe Acrobat and other tools to track information and report on collected material.

SKILLS NEEDED :

A Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics, Russian Studies, International Relations, or related field.

Knowledge of U.S. military or intelligence community terminology.

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Strong command of Russian language and English language in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Professional work experience as a translator and / or interpreter.

Strong critical / analytical thinking and research skills.

Must have DoD support experience.

Top Secret / SCI (TS / SCI) Clearance is required. Must be a US Citizen.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Active TS / SCI clearance (must be current & verifiable).

U.S. Citizenship (mandatory).

Native or near-native fluency in Russian and English (written and spoken).

Prior experience providing translation, transcription, and linguistic analysis in a defense or intelligence setting.
