• Shelter Technician Department : Animal Care Services Location : City of Boerne, Texas Salary : $40,830.40 - $51,064 DOE Annually Job Description : The City of Boerne Animal Care Services department provides services for the care of pets and animals while enforcing animal-related laws established by city ordinance.

• Your day-to-day tasks would include cleaning, maintenance, and sanitizing of kennels and all other areas of the facility; ensuring food and water are provided to animals; performing basic shelter care such as medicating, bathing, micro-chipping, and assisting the Animal Control Officers with euthanizing as needed.
• Responsible for providing excellent customer service over the phone and in-person to residents with inquiries to include but not limited to adoption, surrender, and dispatching Animal Control Officers to calls for service.  Working conditions are in an indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to temperature variations, infectious diseases, chemicals, disinfectants, unfavorable odors, and hostile animals.
