Pediatric Anesthesiologist

Job Summary

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is seeking a general anesthesiologist who is fellowship-trained in pediatric anesthesia with additional training and experience in cardiac anesthesia. The ideal candidate will provide care for both general pediatric surgical cases and cardiac procedures, as needed.

We are in an exciting phase of building and expanding our cardiac surgery program. Currently, our team include a cardiac surgeon, a cardiac interventionalist, and cardiac anesthesiologist.

The first year will involve limited cardiac surgical volume, with increasing opportunities expected as the program grows.  Call schedule : Initially includes in-house call, but once the individual transitions to a dedicated cardiac role, in-house call will no longer be required.

We are looking for someone motivated to grow with the program, contribute to clinical care, and be part of a collaborative, patient-centered team.

Qualifications

We seek a cardiac anesthesiologist with at least three to four years of experience working in a well-established pediatric cardiac program. The ideal candidate must have completed a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship and additional training in pediatric cardiac anesthesia, preferably including a dedicated one-year pediatric cardiac anesthesia fellowship. Board certification or board eligibility in pediatric anesthesiology is required.

We are steadily building toward a fully staffed and robust cardiac service.
