Essential Functions

Underwrite business purpose bridge or construction loans in compliance with credit guidelines.
Review loan files for completeness, identify missing documentation, and approve borrower background.
Collaborate with Sales, Processors, Managers and Closers to communicate guideline requirements and finalize loan scenarios.
Must be able to prioritize time sensitive deadlines.
Manage pipeline of 60+ loans with efficiency and accuracy.
Analyze valuations for accuracy, risk and detail review of comparable market sales.
Participate in weekly pipeline meeting.
Identify and evaluate strengths, mitigating factors, and weaknesses of the loan request and escalate risks and issues.
Prepare and submit exception memos for scenarios falling outside guidelines.
Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by Manager.

Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on advanced excel skills.

Financial analytical analysis with math and general accounting knowledge.

Education and Experience

2 years experience underwriting business purpose and / or multifamily, commercial lending.

2 years experience reviewing guarantor and borrower background reports, valuation analysis, including entity documentation to determine ownership and borrower structure.

5 years of analytical experience within financial services, commercial banking, or business purpose lending.
