Warehouse Helper
Under supervision, candidate's tasks will involve warehouse operations and document transportation. Must follow designated safety standards. The candidate will represent the company in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service. May perform one or more of the typical responsibilities associated with the functions of warehouse operations, and document imaging services.
Representative principal duties and responsibilities :
- Maintain warehouse inventory utilizing a box control system daily.
- Keep warehouse safe (Environmental Safety & Health requirements OSHA), clean, and in an orderly condition.
- Receive, identify, sort, and box incoming mail from UPS, USPS, FedEx and other mail vendors according to customer specifications for document imaging.
- Make sure we have enough supplies such for the production staff.
- Accurately process document requests from customers in a timely manner.
- Identify and prepare boxes of documents for onsite shredding. Mistakes can cause monetary penalties and breach of contract resulting in legal action.
- Operate warehouse equipment. (pallet jacks-electric and manual)
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and order as needed.
- Coordinate customer box pick-ups and deliveries with the manager.
- Ensure shipment accuracy.
- Maintain pick-up and delivery log.
- Training of document imaging services will be provided and performed when not performing warehouse duties.
- Need to create labels of mail that was received.
- Prepare boxes ahead of time on your slower days to make sure shelf always stays completely full.
- Empty out recycle bins as needed.
Education and typical years of experience :
HS diploma or equivalent. Basic reading and writing skills are necessary to follow written orders / instructions and to maintain records. Must be familiar with Outlook and Teams messaging.
Special requirements :
Must be able to lift 35 pounds - continuous requirement through shift. Must wear steel toe shoes.
