Food & Beverage Manager

Purpose : The Food & Beverage Manager plays a vital role in advancing Elevate Bransons mission by overseeing all food-related operations. This includes preparing and coordinating meals for Elevate programs, staff meetings, and community events, as well as managing daily operations of our caf and coffee shop as a training and social enterprise hub. The ideal candidate will combine strong food preparation and service skills, inventory management, business sense, a heart for service, and customer service experience to help lead our Elevate Catering, Coffee and Caf to success.
Primary Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Event Support
- Prepare and serve meals for Elevate Branson programs (Elevate Work, Elevate Kids, Elevate Connections, etc.), staff & board meetings, and community events.
- Coordinate catering logistics including meal planning, portioning, dietary needs, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Maintain inventory of food, kitchen supplies, and ensure proper food safety protocols.
- Work closely with staff across departments to meet programming and event culinary needs.
Caf, Coffee Shop & Barista Management
Oversee day-to-day operations of the Elevate Caf and Coffee Shop, ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and mission-aligned guest experience.Serve as lead barista, setting quality standards for coffee and beverage preparation, presentation, and service.Hire, train, and supervise caf staff and baristas, including program participants gaining job experience.Develop coffee and caf menus, order supplies, manage inventory, and ensure consistent product quality.Maintain cleanliness, coffee and cafe functionality, and compliance with health and safety standards.Manage POS systems, customer service, and scheduling for consistent operation.Workforce Development & Mentorship
Provide mentorship and hands-on training to individuals enrolled in Elevate Bransons workforce development program who are working in the caf or kitchen.Model professionalism, time management, barista techniques, and hospitality best practices.Help identify talent and support individuals in developing food and coffee service skills for future employment.Administrative & Financial Oversight
Maintain records of sales, costs, and food orders.Work with leadership to develop and maintain budget, pricing models, and revenue targets for caf and coffee operations.Coordinate volunteer involvement in food service and caf settings.Ensure alignment with Elevate Bransons values and mission in all coffee and caf interactions.Qualifications and Skills Required
Proven experience in commercial food service, catering, caf management, and barista work.Experience with specialty coffee preparation and equipment (espresso machines, grinders, etc.).Strong organizational and time management skills; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with a heart for mentorship and community service.Passion for serving others and aligning work with a higher purpose.Must be ServSafe Certified (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).Proficient in kitchen and caf equipment use, food and beverage safety, and inventory systems.Core Competencies
