Overview
Twin Cedars Youth & Family Services (TCYFS) is a non-profit agency serving more than 1,800 babies, children, youth & families each year. With 25 programs in 5 cities throughout the state of Georgia & East Alabama, we are seeking a full-time Director of Development and Marketing in the Columbus, GA area.
Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, design campaigns, establish timelines, develop and implement Marketing & Community Relations activities for all Twin Cedars programs.
- Create and design all direct mail, rack cards, business cards, event programs, event fliers, social media graphics, annual report, fliers, signs, banners, posters, postcards, t-shirts, and other required collateral material.
- Create and design various materials for digital and print.
- Select colors, fonts, images, and layouts.
- Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner with quality products.
- Advise best practices and optimizations throughout design projects.
- Responsible for all marketing activities and for creating & updating agency / event collateral for Twin Cedars locations as needed.
- Oversee the Twin Cedars brand to maintain consistency across programs.
- Create guidelines for how logos and other branding materials should be applied.
- Create the Twin Cedars annual report.
- Use Constant Contact to create email newsletters, event announcements, agency communications, etc.
- Manage the social media presence of Twin Cedars (including accounts held by agency programs) : create & post content, graphics, photos & video as needed.
- Assist in media relations efforts.
- Collaborate with the Development team to manage TCYFS social media marketing as requested.
- Respond to inquiries about Twin Cedars from the public.
- Participate with the Development team in maintaining stock of marketing collaterals and event inventories.
- Update all twincedars.org page and subpage content as needed at the request of the appropriate Twin Cedars staff.
- Review all twincedars.org pages and subpages at least twice per year to identify and update outdated information.
- Maintain the Twin Cedars website event sub-page, advertising all Twin Cedars events with links to registration and information pages for each event.
- Event Registration and Giving Pages – learn the online event management program used by TCYFS, create online event registration and payment pages, and create unique online giving pages for campaigns and programs as needed.
- Provide support for special events in all communities served by Twin Cedars, including front-end planning, setup, attendance, and cleanup.
Qualifications
Completion of an undergraduate major in journalism, communications, advertising, public relations or a related field emphasizing public communications at a four-year college or university and three years of experience involving public relations, events / project management, and the creation of advertising, promotional and public relations materials.Demonstrable portfolio of marketing collaterals designed & created using Adobe Creative Cloud.Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills and public speaking skills, with experience in writing collaterals and making presentations to diverse groups.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Constant Contact, WordPress, Hootsuite, and social media platforms; familiarity with donor databases such as Donor Perfect.Professional experience with social media marketing.Ability to network to cultivate new and existing relationships within the community.Strong organizational & project management skills with teamwork and attention to detail.Self-starter with the ability to accomplish projects on time and make decisions with minimal supervision.Willingness to travel periodically as needed to other cities.Organization & Relationships
Reports to Director of Development and Marketing.Works with other members of the Development & Marketing team.Interacts with donors, stakeholders, vendors, and the communities served by TCYFS.Interacts with Twin Cedars staff.Application
