JOHNEX explosives is a 100% Australian owned manufacturer and distributor of innovative explosives. Due to the rapid expansion and diversification of the company, our Perth WA Midvale Office is currently seeking a dynamic, self-motivated person to assist in the development of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement innovative solutions to optimise our operations.
- Full project life cycle from concept to completion. (very important)
- Programming and troubleshooting control systems (e.g., PLCs like IFM, Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- Develop instrumentation and control designs, including P&IDs, loop diagrams, network diagrams, and control philosophies.
- Ability to work in a project-based environment as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
- Understand the application of regulations, standards and codes of practice as they apply to project deliverables.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation system issues to ensure optimal performance.
Essential attributes
A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering (or similar)Experience in PLC and SCADA programming.Strong knowledge of industrial protocols (e.g. Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet / IP).Familiarity with robotics, automation technologies, and cybersecurity.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.High level of safety awareness, compliance, leadership and commitment to safetyA proactive and results-oriented approach.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExperience and understanding of the Product Release Cycle from prototype to production including the key deliverables of each phase.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesTrack record of thriving within project teams across the project lifecycle, showcasing your adaptability and agilityProactive self-starter with high level attention to detail and accuracy in outcomesDemonstrated ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentationHighly analytical mind, with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Willingness to travel to mine sites and interstateDesirable attributes
Proficiency in C++, Python programming, SQL databases, and IoT network technologies (including GSM, Wi-Fi, and LoRaWan).Technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networksKnowledge of network protocols, security principles, and best practicesPrerequisites to be shortlisted
