About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (19 : 00 - 07 : 00)

Experience : Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 1 year in specialty experience required; first-time travelers accepted if experienced in ICU / Trauma.

License : Active RN license required; pending license acceptable.

Certifications : BLS, ACLS required; CPI preferred; TNCC preferred.

Must-Have : Candidates must have IV start, telemetry, and conscious sedation skills. Experience with vents and level 1 trauma is preferred.

Description :

The role involves providing nursing care in a trauma stepdown unit that caters to multi-system-injured trauma patients and surgical patients.

The unit consists of 25 floor beds, 6 step-down beds, and additional pediatric beds, with a multidisciplinary team approach to care.

The ideal candidate will have experience in PCU, IMC, trauma, or stepdown units.

The patient-to-nurse ratio for floor beds is 1 : 5, and for step-down beds, it is 1 : 3.

Every other weekend work is required.

Candidates should be open to floating within the scope to meet facility needs.

Clinical support services include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, and pharmacy.

Experience with a variety of procedures and equipment is expected, including ventilator management, chest tubes, and wound care.
